Meanwhile, the skid plate protects the aluminum chassis from debris scraping the bottom of your ride. A 3-1/4” (82.55mm) long x 1-1/4” (31.75mm) wide plate extends forward over that expensive aluminum chassis protecting it from those inevitable scuffs and scratches. It also has built-in skid ribs, allowing your Mini to slip over obstacles that would other rake across the bottom of your favorite mini ride.
